Move with WASD or thumbstick. Interact with the chair prompt using E or the on-screen button. Bid with the on-chair GUI, not with movement keys. Leaving is a separate button. If you mash jump, you can stand up mid-war and lose the card with a bid still queued. Fullscreen helps because auction GUIs sit near the edge. Shift-lock is optional and often worse; you want the cursor for bid buttons, not for camera drama.

If bids do not register, rejoin. A desynced chair is cheaper to leave than to fight. Then reset your ceiling with the bid calculator because panic clicking after a desync is how stacks vanish.

Console players should treat the on-screen keyboard as a Shop-only tool. Never open it during a live timer. Bind your interact button so it does not share a face button with jump. If the experience supports the Beginner Server on your platform, start there; the Pro Server GUI is the same but the chairs are meaner. Tablet users get the best of both: landscape like mobile, cursor like desktop if a mouse is attached. Use the cursor.
