Overall is the first rarity number
Official cards print a large overall in the corner: 90, 92, 103, or the infinite mark on Rainbow Yamal. That number is the fastest rarity tell. A 70 overall with no frame is starter fuel. A 90 is mid. A 100-plus is a fight. Treat jumps of ten overall as a new rarity band even if the frame looks similar. The value checker weights overall heavily for that reason.
FIFA-style stats are the identity layer
PAC SHO PAS DRI DEF PHY exist so you can confirm the player while the timer ticks. You are not building a formation. You are buying a printer that happens to wear a club badge. Still, stats help you avoid mixing up two cards with similar art. A 90 ST Messi with 90 shooting is a different object from a 103 CAM Messi with 103 dribbling. Frame rarity versus name rarity

Luck and rarity
Luck upgrades, described on the rare cards guide, change which rarities appear on the podium. They do not change how much you should pay. Overall bands worth memorising: sub-80 is fuel, 80-89 is mid, 90-99 is a fight, 100-plus is a war, infinite Rainbow stats are a livestream. Frame can promote a card one band. Secret on a 78 can still outprint a base 90 if the studio tied income to frame, which the official chase list strongly implies. Score both numbers in the value checker before you sit.
Index completion is not a rarity band. It is a collector itch. Always Bid For Index is how loops overpay for a last common. Complete the index when the last card is cheap.
